Administrative Assistant - Selma Alabama

Department: Fuel Production (Grinding Yards)
Location: xxxxx, AL

National Salvage & Service Corporation is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Tie Grinding Facility in Selma, Alabama. National Salvage and Service Corporation is an industry leading railroad contractor working in locations throughout the USA. National handles millions of railroad ties every year.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for all office duties including record keeping, office organization, and acting as a liaison between customers, employees, and contractors. Previous experience in an administrative position and/or bookkeeping is required, and preferred experience in the contractor and construction industry. Excellent written and verbal communication are a must as well as proficiency in Excel and Word.

*This job is on-site in Selma, Alabama

DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect and review employee payroll data for processing
  • Track incoming and outgoing inventory with extreme accuracy
  • Consistently checking emails and maintaining regular communication with corporate headquarters
  • Create, manage, and disburse reports
  • Handle a range of administrative functions including phone calls, faxes, emails, document filing, and data entry
